To support the 2017 Summit on Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), RMIT Vietnam's Centre of Digital Excellence is facilitating dialogue and research on digital development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Our July CODE event will feature two related activities:

1. Public Talk: Digital entrepreneurship for future-proof careers

Speaker: Dr. Anthos Yannakou, RMIT University, Melbourne

Content: This talk discusses the impact of the digital revolution on the skills that will be required in the future, and explores reponses that individuals and organisations can implement to minimise the impact on their own careers and take advantage of the opportunities of the digital age.

2. Focus Groups: Digital economic development in Vietnam

Participation is voluntary. Participants may choose to join any of the following discussions:

  • A society and workforce prepared for digital transformation and change
  • Growing the digital economy through public-private partnerships
  • Promoting the national brand: selling Vietnamese entrepreneurship to the world


1:30-2:00: Registration and afternoon tea
2:00-3:00: CODE public talk by Dr. Anthos Yannakou
3:15-4:30: Research focus groups (participation is optional)
