Coronavirus (COVID-19) information

Updated resources and relevant information for RMIT Vietnam staff and students about COVID-19.

If you have COVID-19 symptoms while on campus and think you might be positive for COVID-19

Please call ISOS by phone (24/7 hotline: (028) 3829 8520; Saigon South: (028) 3776 1360; Hanoi: (024) 3201 2601) and follow their instructions regarding testing procedures and any healthcare support.  

If you test positive for COVID-19 while on or off-campus

Please self-isolate for a minimum of five (5) days. After self-isolation, you can return to campus but must wear mask for another five (5) days.   • Staff and students are no longer required to contact the Contact Tracing team, only their line managers and lecturers, to declare their status with proof of infection 
  • Proof of infection could be a positive result from COVID-19 rapid antigen test or a written confirmation from an external clinic or ISOS 
  • Resident students are required to notify the dormitory management about their status and relocate to the isolation room.

If you have close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19

  • Self-isolation is not required 
  • You are strongly encouraged to monitor your health, wear a mask, limit gatherings and avoid close contact with others during the five (5) days after the date of last contact with the confirmed case during their transmission period 
  • When there are symptoms, please go to the nearest healthcare provider and follow their instructions regarding testing procedures and any healthcare support
