Mr. Bui Quang Minh, Founder & CEO of Beta Group

Mr Bui Quang Minh graduated from Sydney University with First Class Honors in 2006 under the AusAID scholarship program. He was subsequently offered a Fulbright scholarship and earned his MBA degree from Harvard Business School, graduating in the class of 2014. 

Minh started his first business - a chain of donut stores - when he was 25, selling it in 2012 before leaving Vietnam to attend Harvard University. Returning to Vietnam in 2014, he founded Beta Cinemas, a chain of affordable cinemas, raising millions of dollars in venture funding and expanding to 15 locations in Vietnam. His company has since evolved into the Beta Group, of which he is President. Minh Bui, aka Minh Beta, has businesses that include a Proptech startup called A.Plus Home - an O2O network of affordable serviced apartments for the youth - and Crimson Business Institute, offering Harvard-licensed courses in business education for Vietnamese learners. 

Active in music and the entertainment industry, he has engaged in various film and art projects, and is well known for his popular patriotic song “Viet Nam oi”.

Ms Dang Thi Thanh Van, Founder & CEO of Savvycom

Ms. Dang Thi Thanh Van is the Founder and CEO of Savvycom - one of the Top 30 global mobile app developers.

Graduating in Computer Science from the University of Sydney, Van has an endless passion for technology. She believes technology can make life a better place. With the mission of leveraging engineering resources in Vietnam, she founded Savvycom to drive digital transformation for businesses - and, in doing so, aspires to make it one of the top 10 digital technology companies in the region.

Van has proved to be an astute businesswoman and citizen who enjoys supporting the community's well-being and the society where she lives. She is a great inspiration for technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, female leaders, and young generations. She has been a speaker at major events such as TEDx, APEC, the Asia Economic Forum, and ASEAN Summit – the topics she has presented have ranged from Digital Transformation, Innovation, Women, to Entrepreneurship. Van is also a familiar judge for Startup challenges.

Dr. Alex Pham, Co-founder & CEO of FINA

Dr Alex Pham is the Co-founder and CEO of FINA, Vietnam's number one digital mortgage broking platform. 

Dr Pham holds a PhD in Property Economics from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor (Honours) in International Business from the Hague University of Applied Sciences. 

As an expert in real estate finance with a unique blend of academic knowledge and industry experience, he has held various senior positions in global real estate companies operating in Australia. Passionate about how new technologies and innovations will change the way people live, work and play in the future, his in-depth knowledge spans multiple markets in Europe, Asia and Australia. 

Dr Pham’s academic research has been published in several leading real estate journals, such as  the Journal of Real Estate Literature, the Pacific Rim Property Research Journal, the Journal of Property Investment & Finance and the International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis.  He has provided research insights and professional advice to help global investment funds, property companies and policymakers make informed investment and property decisions. His commentaries on the market are often quoted in media channels, including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review and The Australian.
