Scholars involved in this cluster mainly focus their research on methods, theories and applications of contemporary economics/finance to development economics with special emphasis on emerging market economies.

Researchers in this cluster research in two main areas: (1) teaching and learning in higher education, and (2) learning and development in organisations. The cluster produces knowledge to enhance the learning of students in higher education institutions and employees in organisations.


Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Digital Transformation

This cluster engages in entrepreneurial activities that solve problems by producing a solution, product, service, or process that adds value to the marketplace. A focus is the impact of entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation across countries and time. Studying the effects entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation on people, markets, organisations, countries and cultures.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management

This cluster focuses on applied multidisciplinary research that uses information, modelling, and analytics to develop and apply internationally integrated logistics solutions and sustainable supply chain networks domestically and globally. Focus on both grounded theory and empirical studies with local industry, developing best practices drawn largely from industrial applications and needs.


Tourism and Hospitality

Research in this cluster addresses relevant issues in the field of tourism and hospitality through rigorous qualitative and quantitative methods. The main focuses are on: tourist behaviour and decision making; destination image and branding; measuring tourism performance and consumer culture theory; tourism studies; and hospitality studies.
