The main purpose of such the competition is to promote appreciation and interest of the Introductory Accounting course.

In addition, this competition is considered as a chance for students to review their accounting knowledge before the final examination. Students not only review their knowledge but also enjoy the atmosphere of the competition, and therefore, learn more effectively and efficiently.

1. Preliminary Round:

Date: Monday 23 August 2010        

Time: 4:30pm – 5:30pm

Location:    Room 3.20

All teams registered will compete with each other. Each team is required to do a test in approximately 30 minutes. The six teams which score the highest marks will participate in the official round.

2. Official event:

Date:          Wednesday 25 August 2010  

Time:          4:30pm – 6:00pm

Location:    Melbourne Theatre

Round 1: there are 10 multiple choice questions that every team has to answer. The three teams with the highest score will be invited to compete in the final round. Three other teams will be awarded consolation prizes.

Round 2: : Each team will be invited to solve short exercises, whichever team answers the question the fastest and the most accurate will be given a point. There will be 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd prizes.
