Students from RMIT Melbourne and other overseas universities can come to RMIT Vietnam campuses, in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, on an Exchange Student Program or transfer their credits to graduate at RMIT Vietnam. (More information can be found here)
RMIT Vietnam students have automatic transfer rights to selected degree programs at RMIT University in Melbourne. It is important to note that the cost of the program in Melbourne is substantially higher than the cost of the program in Vietnam. Assistance with the application process is available for students who wish to transfer and RMIT Vietnam will assist students to gain Australian visas. (More information can be found here)
The RMIT Vietnam campus runs three semesters per calendar year, with intakes each semester for academic programs (subject to demand). The semesters in 2009 are:
Semester 1: 22 February 2010 – 28 May 2010
Semester 2: 21 June 2010 – 24 September 2010
Semester 3: 18 October 2010 – 21 January 2011
Study Abroad students are fully integrated into RMIT Vietnam’s student body undertaking classes alongside Vietnamese and other international students. All classes are delivered in English and all students are encouraged to communicate in English all the time.
At RMIT Vietnam full-time students are expected to devote about 48 hours each week to study. This includes tutorial, seminars, lectures and group work as well as independent learning. Students have access to wireless Independent Study Centres for private study, and to an Integrated Learning Centre (including library and database access facilities).
