RMIT University Vietnam

RMIT University Vietnam was Vietnam’s first fully foreign owned university, and remains the only foreign university to operate completely in its own right (ie. without local partner institutions).

RMIT Vietnam is a full campus of RMIT University at both of its locations.

Operating since 2001 in Ho Chi Minh City and 2004 in Hanoi, RMIT Vietnam delivers Australian degrees which are internationally recognised.

Degrees are awarded by RMIT University in Australia, giving Vietnamese students (and other students at the Vietnam campuses) the opportunity to receive an ‘international’ education within Vietnam. All teaching and learning is in English.

The total student population on both campuses exceeds 5000.

Since 2003, RMIT Vietnam has won the prestigious Golden Dragon Award six times for excellence in education services. Research initiatives have taken place in fields including information technology, food technology and safety, infectious disease control and water supply.

RMIT University has made a strategic commitment to develop as a “twin hub” university, with RMIT Vietnam as the Asian hub which links Melbourne, Australia, to the Asian region. In doing so, it is increasingly attracting more diverse academic programs and partnerships of many kinds.
