RMIT’s IT students also have options to develop themselves further in the areas of software development, multimedia, or general business.
RMIT Vietnam’s IT graduates are highly sought after because, in addition to their technical expertise, they are well-rounded, communicative and adaptable professionals. They have the capability to enter this challenging field in high-paying positions, including management roles. Many IT students in their final year are offered part-time jobs and most of them are employed immediately upon graduation.
The Bachelor of Information Technology program is accredited at the Professional level by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), an organisation that accredits Information and Communication Technology related programs in Australia.

Career prospects
IT graduates can obtain technical positions in the software development and outsourcing industry. Common positions are software developer, web developer, user-interface designer and programmer, game and animation developer, system administrator, software architect, team leader, business analyst, and security specialist.
IT graduates with an interest in business or management have excellent opportunities to obtain technology-related positions in industries such as accounting, law, banking, advertising, public relations, economics, or marketing. Possible jobs include application manager, IT manager, project manager, computer trainer, business analyst, data analyst, online marketing expert, and many others.

Specialist facilities for IT students
The facilities for IT students include a high-performance computer lab with specialised software for software development and working in teams. IT students are exposed not only to the Windows platform, but also alternatives such as Apple Mac OS X and Linux. RMIT Vietnam provides a specialised Linux server and Linux CDs to help IT students gain skills in working with this increasingly popular platform. RMIT Vietnam has a state-of-the-art wireless network.
