RMIT Vietnam has three semesters per calendar year with intakes each semester for academic programs. The semesters in 2010 are:
Semester 1: 22 February 2010 - 28 May 2010
Semester 2: 21 June 2010 - 24 September 2010
Semester 3: 18 October 2010 - 21 January 2011
Higher Education Diploma
Minimum admission requirement to the RMIT Vietnam Higher Education Diploma is successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). In addition, students must satisfy one of the following English requirements:
Successful completion of RMIT Vietnam English Upper Intermediate (Level 5) IELTS 5.5+ (no band below 5.0) TOEFL Paper based 530+ (TWE 3.5+) TOEFL Computer based 197+ (TWE 3.5+) TOEFL Internet based 71+ (no band below 17)
Note: TOEFL, IELTS results are recognised for two years from the test date. RMIT English results are only recognised for one year from the test date.
Undergraduate Programs
The usual admission requirement for undergraduate degree programs is successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). In addition, students must satisfy one of the following English requirements:
Successful completion of RMIT Vietnam English Advanced Level (Level 7) IELTS 6.5+ (no band below 6.0) TOEFL Paper based 580+ (TWE 4.5+) TOEFL Computer based 233+ (TWE 4.5+) TOEFL Internet based 92+ (no band below 20)
Note: TOEFL and IELTS are recognised for two years from the test date. RMIT English results are only recognised for one year from the test date.
Students who successfully complete the RMIT Vietnam Advanced English course (level 7) also meet the English language requirements. Offers will be based on academic merit. Entrance pathways will be discussed with individual applicants at the time of application.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Application deadlines for 2010 are:
26 April for June intake 20 August for October intake 17 December for February 2011 intake
Offers will be based on academic merit (Year 12 or equivalent). Prospective students must apply using the preferential system, nominating their choice of programs on the application form in order of preference. First preferences cannot be guaranteed.
Students who do not receive an offer for the initial intake may be considered for the subsequent intakes.
