Concurrent English program (CEP) Learning Outcomes

At the end of the Concurrent English Program students will have

·         learned about academic issues including plagiarism and referencing conventions

·         used a range of analytical approaches to critically review academic texts

·         synthesised ideas from texts in writing

·         learned how to prepare and present a tutorial presentation

·         practised note taking strategies and techniques

·         practised writing a variety of text types including reports, critical response, literature review and graph descriptions

·         analysed and understood requirements of academic assignments

·         proof read and edited academic writing

·         recognised and used a range of language structures and vocabulary

·         engaged with various electronic learning materials

·         learned ways of communicating in a variety of situations

·         expressed opinions in written and verbal form
