Teen Explorers is an exciting new English program designed for teens aged 12-17 who have an international mindset and want to explore the world. You will:

  • Master English skills by learning in an English-speaking environment supported by digital technology.
  • Develop academic and technical skills, and build your confidence with our project-based learning approach.
  • Take charge of your own pathway to become a global citizen - focus on your future, soft skills for life, and personal development.

Future Me workshops

As part of your program you can participate in our Future Me workshops where you will shape and develop essential soft skills in a fun and dynamic environment.

Course structure

Teen Explorers is offered as six levels, each divided into two modules (A&B) of 60 hours each.

  • Elementary A&B
  • Pre-Intermediate A&B
  • Intermediate A&B
  • Upper-Intermediate A&B
  • Pre-Advanced A&B
  • Advanced A&B

The table below shows approximate IELTS equivalency levels on exit from each set of modules (A&B).

An IELTS score of 6.5 or above gives you direct English entry to higher education.

Teen Explorers

Teen Advanced has an inbuilt component of 40 hours of IELTS-focussed skills and test practise, including full IELTS practice tests to be taken outside of the allotted 120 hours. This is included in the cost of Teen Advanced.

Accreditation

English courses and programs provided by RMIT University Vietnam are endorsed by NEAS (the Australian National English Language Teaching Accreditation Scheme)That means you are learning in an organisation that has internationally recognised English learning and teaching standards.

Teaching with technology

Our teaching incorporates technology and explores topics that are relevant to teens. You will work in groups and collaborate on projects, using interactive workbooks, videos, blogs (and more), all supported by RMIT’s state-of-the-art learning systems. You will also have access to our specialised English Study Lab, and teen-specific books and e-books through the RMIT library.

Student support

You will be supported throughout your studies. There will be a Vietnamese-speaking teaching assistant (TA) in every class, so you can get help and support when you need it. Your parents can liaise directly with the teaching assistant to keep informed about your progress and performance. And parents will be updated on overall performance mid-course and end of course. Fees

Full fee for one module: 15,770,000 VND.

  1. Discount 10%: 14,200,000 if you register before Sep 30

  2. Save a further discount 10% and pay only 12,780,000 VND for:

    • Groups of three
    • Have a brother/sister who is current RMIT student or alumni
    • Students from target schools

Assessment

Your assessments will be technology-based, varied, and interesting. They include: Interviews and surveys, storytelling, presentations, photo blogs, videos, research projects, websites, and advertisements. You will have quizzes for each unit (four per module) and an end-of-course assessment including all four skills. You will also be assessed on group projects which include the technology-based aspects, such as videos, presentations, websites and blogs.

English placement test

We offer English placement tests to find your current level. The test includes grammar, writing and speaking and is conducted by RMIT English teachers to make sure you are enrolled in the correct level.
