The RMIT x CSU Pathways program offers you the chance to gain a dual business degree within four years – a Bachelor of Business from RMIT Vietnam and a Specialized Master of Business Administration (Specialized MBA) at California State University San Marcos.

Overview

The RMIT x California State University San Marcos Pathways program will give you the skills to pursue managerial jobs and international opportunities, and to build a global business network. 

Meeting professionals from diverse backgrounds will help you to prepare for a global economy and understand market needs and best business practices. You will gain an international outlook and a deep understanding of global business trends and issues.

Before transferring to CSU San Marcos, you will complete three years for the Bachelor of Business at RMIT Vietnam. Your academic credit will then enable you to complete the Specialized MBA at San Marcos in one year.

The Specialized MBA will provide you with the chance to focus your studies in one of four elective streams – International Business, Business Intelligence, Tourism and Hospitality, or Logistics and Supply Chain.

CSU San Marcos is located in North San Diego County – the heart of Southern California, just a short distance from California’s most beautiful beaches, mountains and deserts. It is 50 kilometers north of the city of San Diego and 150 kilometers south of Los Angeles.

Credit transfer articulation mapping

The program ends with a six-unit Culminating Experience during the final semester.

  • Students in the Business Intelligence, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Supply Chain and Management options complete a final project in collaboration with local companies.

  • International Business students participate in an international experience involving travel to a foreign country, along with a faculty member, to participate in company visits and to pursue a project.

Entry requirements

RMIT Vietnam

Entry to the undergraduate programs follows RMIT Vietnam’s general academic and English requirements. 

Academic requirements

  • High school graduation diploma with a minimum GPA of 7.0/10.0 for Grade 12. For other international qualifications, please view entry requirements by country; or

  • Successfully completed the UniSTART for Business with a minimum GPA of 1.0/4.0 with no double fail of a course.

  • If you have completed, or partially completed, a similar program at another institution, you may be accepted with some academic credit, or exemptions, being granted toward this program.

English requirements

Successfully completed RMIT English Advanced or one of the following English proficiency tests:

  • IELTS (Academic) at 6.5+ (no band below 6.0).

  • TOEFL iBT at 92+ (no band below 20).

  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) at 58+ (no communication band below 50).

  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) or Proficiency (CPE) at 176+ (no band below 169). 

For other international English entry requirements, please view English equivalency requirements. 

Note: TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson and Cambridge results are recognised for two years from the test date. RMIT English results are recognised for one year from the test date.

Academic requirements

  • Complete the courses at RMIT Vietnam with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.

  • Pass the GMAT with a 500 score; conditional admission available.

Note: Exceptions may be made to the above GPA and GMAT requirements by the Faculty Admissions Committee.

English requirements

  • To be waived for successful undergraduates from RMIT Vietnam. 

*Entry is subject to successful visa application. 

Tuition Fee

Estimated tuition fee (subject to change depending on currency variations and annual program changes):

  • RMIT tuition fee: 36,110 USD ~ 825,120,000 VND (three years, 24 courses).

  • CSU tuition fee: 30,518 USD ~ 695,353,000 VND (one year).

Other fees:

  • CSU room and board (estimated): 17,637 USD ~ 401,859,000 VND (one year) (if students live on CSU campus*).

  • CSU living expenses (estimated): 8,022 USD ~ 182,781,000 VND (one year) (**).

*Includes all mandatory campus fees (not including vehicle parking fee).

**Includes mandatory 12-month health insurance, books and personal expenses.
