We can assist you with careers information and advice to help your daughter or son get a rewarding outcome from choosing to study at RMIT University Vietnam.
There are a number of key career decisions you will need to support your son or daughter to make. Together with the Career Centre, we can assist them with these decisions and career plans by helping them understand themselves, opportunities open to them, and influences around them. Finally, we can help them choose the job that best suits them.
Your son or daughter needs to make the most of the University experience, which can be very overwhelming at first. But our expert staff can help them with choosing the most suitable programs or changing programs if necessary, taking advantage of all the opportunities provided by the University to increase their chances of getting a great job at the end of their study.
Your son or daughter will need to plan and adjust to the next stage of his/her career after studying here. The Career Centre, through its range of programs, events and services, prepares them well to make the transition to the real world of industry or further study. We also continue to assist them after they graduate when they need support in any career issues.
We provide a range of services to assist your son or daughter make sound career plans and career decisions. They include:
- Career Counselling Your son or daughter may have questions like ‘which program should I choose?’, ‘am I studying the most suitable program?’, ‘what job can I do when I graduate?’, ‘which industry should I work in?’ … at different stages of their University life. Our Career Counsellors are able to address the questions with them to help them make decisions and plans.
- Job Application Skills They will be prepared with practical skills to be successful in their job application, including how to write a resume, how to perform in a job interview, how to do company research and negotiate for an employment …
- Industry Connection Various career programs and events organised by the Career Centre which provide opportunities for them to interact directly with industry, like the Internship Program, the Career Mentoring Program, the Networking Event, the Career Week… We also work with industry to bring information about their recruitment programs to our students.
- Career Resources Many career resources particularly developed for our students are always available for them to learn and research. They vary from print-out documents (the Career Centre Guidebook, company recruitment leaflets…) to online channels.
