RMIT Vietnam students, staff, alumni, families, friends and members of the local community enjoyed a fun day out as well as helped to raise more than 16 million VND for disadvantaged children and youth as part of the university’s annual fun run.
The event, which was held at RMIT Vietnam Saigon South on Sunday 9 March 2014, supported Education for Development, an international organisation working with Vietnamese partners to improve and expand educational services for disadvantaged children and youth.
Fun run participants began the event with a warm-up session before taking to the five kilometre course which started and finished at RMIT Vietnam Saigon South’s sports field.
RMIT Vietnam’s President Professor Gael McDonald joined in on the day’s festivities along with Sports Department of District Seven Deputy Director Mr Nguyen Tuan Qui, Member for Lyndhurst (Victoria, Australia) the Honourable Martin Pakula and AusCham National Executive Director Mr Phil Johns.
The event was proudly supported by Pulse Active and VietJet Air.
