RMIT University Vietnam recently hosted an entrepreneurship workshop for alumni at the Pham Ngoc Thach campus.

Approximately 200 people, including RMIT University Vietnam alumni and local and international experts gathered at the event to share their thoughts on creating and growing new business ventures. The venue also brought back plenty of memories for the alumni.

The ‘Start-up 101’ workshop hosted various discussions on a wide range of topics relating to business establishment. Through these sessions, alumni had the opportunity to talk directly with experienced entrepreneurs, experts and industry professionals about current hot topics in the Vietnam market, as well as broader entrepreneurship trends in the region and around the world. Participants were also able to expand their networks to both local and international industry players.

Guest speakers at the workshop were: Duc Nguyen – MBA alumni, Core Supporter at VSCC; Trung Nguyen – Commerce Alumni, Product Manager at Project Lana / Senior Analyst at IDG Ventures Vietnam; Rick Yvanovich – Founder of TRG International; Brian O’Reilly – Managing Director at SEA Management Consulting; Christopher Zobrist – Founder of Zobrist Consulting Group; and Bruce Beauchamp – Senior Advisor at SPCC. The workshop was also attended by featured companies Creative Bay and Siri Nova.

The night was a success due to the tremendous effort and enthusiasm of a group of alumni, RMIT University Vietnam staff members and SIFE volunteers.

“I really enjoyed the workshop. Thank you for the useful information, delicious food and efficient service,” said Luong Van Tinh, a member of SIFE FTU HCMC.
