Entry requirements for local students

RMIT Vietnam has three semesters per calendar year, with intakes each semester for academic programs. The semesters in 2014 are:

  • Semester 1:  17 February 2014 - 24 May 2014
  • Semester 2:  16 June 2014 - 20 September 2014
  • Semester 3:  13 October 2014 - 17 January 2015

Higher Education Diploma

Minimum admission requirements to enter the RMIT Vietnam Higher Education Diploma include:

  1. You've graduated from high school
  2. Your GPA at the end of the 12th grade was 6.0 or above
  3. a) You've successfully passed Level 5 of the English for University course at RMIT Vietnam.

OR
      b) You have an IELTS score of 5.5 or above (no band under 5.0, or a TOEFL iBT score of 71 (no band under 17)

Note: TOEFL, IELTS results are recognised for two years from the test date. RMIT English results are only recognised for one year from the test date.

Undergraduate programs

Minimum admission requirements to enter the RMIT Vietnam Higher Education Undergraduate degree programs include:

  1. You've graduated from high school
  2. Your GPA at the end of the 12th grade was 7.0 or above
  3. a) You've successfully passed Level 7 of the English for University course at RMIT Vietnam.

OR
      b) You have an IELTS score of 6.5 or above (no band under 6.0), or a TOEFL iBT score of 92 (no band under 20)
OR
      c) You've successfully completed a diploma program and satisfy other criteria for transferring – you can now enter the 3rd semester of the equivalent Bachelor program.

Note: TOEFL and IELTS are recognised for two years from the test date. RMIT English results are only recognised for one year from the test date.

Students who successfully complete the RMIT Vietnam Advanced English course (level 7) also meet the English language requirements. Offers will be based on academic merit. Entrance pathways will be discussed with individual applicants at the time of application.
