Transferring to RMIT Melbourne as an RMIT Vietnam student helps you to bridge the gap between local and international study environments.
If you have already proven your study capacity by successfully completing courses at RMIT in Vietnam, you will also benefit from simpler application requirements and processes for transferring to Melbourne.
Note: Transfer students from RMIT Vietnam are waived with AU$100 application fee.
English program
Students who transfer to RMIT Melbourne after successfully completing English for University program at RMIT Vietnam are required to:
- have achieved a minimum GPA in year 12 of 6.0 for a Diploma program and 8.0 for a Bachelor’s program at RMIT Melbourne;
- have successfully completed Upper Intermediate (level 4) for a Diploma program and Advanced (level 6) for a Bachelor’s program at RMIT Melbourne;

Undergraduate
RMIT Vietnam current students can apply to transfer to RMIT Melbourne to study and complete your undergraduate program.
Please be aware that the number of credits transferred might be affected if you transfer to a different program other than your previous study at RMIT Vietnam.
You are required to:
- be currently enrolled in an RMIT Vietnam Bachelor’s program;
- have successfully completed at least 36 credit points (equivalent to one semester at RMIT Vietnam at the time of applying) with no double fail in one course;
- have at least three courses remaining (equivalent to 36 credit points) in the degree programs;
- meet the GPA requirements by programs.
