During the internship students are enrolled into specific industry-based courses that integrate the student’s theoretical knowledge with workplace experience. Students take on a range of projects that employers can help identify, while RMIT Vietnam provides close academic supervision. This gives students richer educational experiences and allows them to develop important skills, which make them more work-ready upon graduation.
These internships have also proven highly beneficial for many companies as they are able to “trial run” RMIT Vietnam students for possible employment later. Most of the programs have the internship in the last semester, which makes it easier for students to transition into permanent full-time employment.
The Bachelor of Design (Multimedia Systems) and the Bachelor of Business (Business Information Systems), however, have the internship in the middle of the students’ course of study. Some students from these programs may need to return to school for their final semesters.
Our internship schedule is based on RMIT's academic schedule with semesters beginning every February, June, and October. Students are available for internships three times a year, at the beginning of each semester.
Currently, the following undergraduate degree programs offer an internship, only two of which are available in Hanoi. Please note that the internship period varies depending on the program; minimum internship length is listed below.
