RMIT Vietnam provides students with a range of services to promote successful entry into the workforce and develop effective career management skills.

From week one of their first semester, students receive workshops and career planning tools which they visit throughout their study time. When students visit the Career Centre, they can meet with a career counsellor and other workplace preparation staff to start putting together a career development plan. The centre has a variety of books and computer based resources to help students better understand the career planning process, learn about different types of jobs and industries and assess their skills to identify areas that they most need to work on during their programs. The centre also has a range of company produced materials to help students research some of the top companies to work for in Vietnam.

The Career Centre also organises an annual Career Day in which businesses are invited to talk to students, give presentations and undertake recruitment. For students, Career Day is a valuable opportunity to talk to HR managers and recruiters in a relaxed environment, and to learn more about companies and specific jobs. Students can also learn what it is like to work in a particular industry or profession.

During the semester before their internship, students take part in the Workplace Preparation Program which is conducted by career centre staff. The program is designed to familiarise students with the job search process and includes workshops on resume and cover letter writing as well as interview preparation and practice.

The Career Centre also provides information about working roles and industries, and about job vacancies which are made available for RMIT Vietnam students to apply for.
