Program overview

Accountants are in demand more than ever in every dynamic economy. A degree in accountancy is a passport to work anywhere in the world. Business and industry require internationally-qualified employees, and accounting professionals with analytical skills, project management and problem-solving abilities.

A Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) gives greater depth to students’ understanding of accountancy and business through the development of technical competencies. A thorough awareness of financial management is critical to success in any business, and students will study international accounting standards, finance, taxation, auditing and company law.

A paid work experience component is the “capstone” of study as part of a degree. The Internship Program gives students valuable experience within a company and often leads to a job offer. RMIT Vietnam students can work in leading international companies. This first-hand industry experience provides RMIT Vietnam graduates with a competitive edge in seeking employment. These skills can be applied in any industry that students choose to work in.

“The RMIT Vietnam Bachelor of Business in Accountancy offers me a great deal of knowledge and experience in preparing me for my internship. In the field of Audit, I have been at an advantage since the training I gained from the university is nothing different from the real experience I have at KPMG. As an accredited program of CPA Australia, I am fortunate to have direct membership as an Associate member which is the same opportunity given to those students who have studied in Australia.”
